Yep, let's all hold our horses! Oxalic acid is registered as a
pesticide, and is not on the GRAS list. That means that to legally use it
as a varroacide, you can only use a registered PRODUCT, and only following
label directions.
The exemption from tolerance didn't mean that EPA and FDA gave it a free
pass, but only that a registrant or honey packer needn't worry about
staying below a tolerance.
