Thanks so very much for stating that in clear terms!
I thought I was suffering from a serious memory lapse.
This is the kind of thing that can linger at the back of one's mind for
weeks - I was struggling to puzzle out questions like:
"More of one sugar vs another effects the isotopic ratio ... how?"
"The isotopic ratio of the isotopes of the same element(s) tell us how much
of each sugar we have - how?"
This certainly is a week of learning all about sugars, at levels of detail
that are either exquisite or excruciating, depending on how much fun
chemistry class was for each of us.
