Hi Tracey & All

A few years ago there was a a thread about water for bees. It was based on the fact that bees seem to like stinky water or water with a level of salts. My experience included my bees flying over our pond and river to line the insulation floating on top of the chlorinated water in our hot tub. The best information I got from the thread was someone who noticed his bees lining his Koi pond. He then researched the salt levels necessary for Koi and found it close to that of honeybees. This is not to say that syrup should have the same level salts but maybe???
