ABSTRACT
Natural cross-pollination in pigeonpea, mediated by insects, is a universal phenomenon with the first report appearing in 1919. In this paper the present scenario of cross-pollination in pigeonpea has been reviewed along with its pros and cons in the modern pigeonpea breeding programmes.
