Thanks for replying to my message in detail. I would much rather have a conversation about this than to issue proclamations. However, with ligustica and carnica, I can't help thinking about Labrador retrievers. They are bred to be black labs, yellow labs, and even chocolate labs. All Labrador retrievers. Of course with dogs, there is no question of subspecies, they are plainly breeds. But I wonder if many of the bee types are more analogous to breeds than clear ecotypes.
