What is the latest opinion about how often and when drizzle can be done on a hive? Is there a seasonality?
I had heard it suggested that a reason some seem to be able to do repeated treatments with no apparent harm is that they are drizzling when the bees are gorged on feed and as a consequence the bees do not consume the syrup.
In contrast, if the bees are treated when hungry they consume the treated syrup and suffer damage that becomes cumulative if the treatment is repeated.
True? Comments?
