I am working up a slide set on efficient beekeeping and want to see what
list members do to simplify their beekeeping operations, whatever the
size. I will deliver this to the beekeepers associations in Moldova -
where many beekeepers have unique hive designs that must be custom made.
We have worked with them to develop a 'national standard' dimension hive
but I want to show them other ways to simplify their beekeeping so they can
keep more hives with less work.
I know in my own small operation I always buy hive components from the same
manufacturer, have internal feeders in the same place on all hives, and use
simple tops and bottoms. I also use double deeps for brood and mediums
only for honey, trying to cut down on odd sized equipment and frame
match-up problems.
any suggestions appreciated!
