No, there is no formal definition of “swarmy” in this thread, which starts on August 1st. That’s why the term is in quotation marks, and derives from a conversation with a buddy who said he doesn’t like it; this in response to remarks by a breeder and nuc producing buddy who told me they had imported eggs and stopped using swarm cells in nucs in order to reduce what they observed as excessive swarming behaviour. References to science lit were made regarding assays for excessive swarming that presumably provide a more rigorous assessment of what constitutes excessive swarming behaviour, aka "swarmy" (e.g., Büchler et al. (2013), Ruttner (1972).
