Dick, I think we all agree that sucrose is sucrose. To me, Fisher's point was that the purity of the marketed products differs. Thus, fine for bees, but not brulees [disclaimer: unless laboratory-grade purity is achieved]
NaCL is NaCL, but sea salt, kosher salt, and table salt all differ. And beyond granule size, that difference is due to additives (table salt) or natural contaminants (sea salt).
