Etienne,
In My laboratory at Alberta Agriculture we followed up on our published paper on HopGuard 1. HopGuard 1 did not work well and bees were able to chew the strips with few days after application in bee hives. We worked with company to change the strips and increase the dosage. We tested the newly developed modification on our lab for 3 years. Finally we came up with HopGuard 2. Data fromThis research was submitted to The pest management regulatory agency in Canada to support the registration of this product for use in Canada. HopGuard 2 is effective when used according to the label. Two applications, two weeks apart can provide over 90% control.
I agree with Christina regarding packing quality and smell. We kept the bag in the refrigerator sealed to slow down the smell.
