It is considered invasive here in Newfoundland.  Our Beekeeping Association certainly do not advocate any planting of it, and most people I know try to get it under control on their properties.  But the knotweed does flower in the late fall and my bees travel to the patches they can find and have a wonderful time.

Here in the UK knotweed is a disaster. Property prices fall dramatically and insurance rises

People find they can’t move house.
