Some packers are concerned about the high levels of DMPF in honey, from beekeepers using
off-label amitraz products.

>This form of the product in some of the commercial circles seems to be the preferred product. There also seems to be some question in research circles (and some beekeepers) about varroa building resistance to this product.  The USDA lab in Baton Rouge and one of the BIP people here seems to be doing experiement on this question of amitraz resistance.  In my own experience (bees and ag type products) there seems to be almost a natural inclination to constantly up th dose when resistance begin to build for a given product.
