some jimyoung questions followed by > my comment...
What was the duration of your experiment?
>about 3 months or April thru June. The end was defined by when I removed the honey.

When were the excluders removed?
>At the same time I removed the surplus honey for extraction.

When was the bottom entrance reopened involving your experiment?
>I did a slight variation on Jerry's experiment where by I plugged my bottom (my bottom board has a built in entrance reducer) entry with green grass. After about a week the grass plug would dry up and blow out and this kind of answers the next question also.

What provisions were made to deal with the drone population?

>If I recall in the experiment that Jerry did he spoke to bees having problems in removing debris and dead bees from the brood nest but his observation seem to suggest they accomplished these task in some manner. So his worries were for naught.
