Good question Mike!
As I'm prone to do, I ran an experiment late this summer to get some actual
data.
Yes, the bees that stay, in 9 out of 10 reps had substantially lower mite
loads than those that flew off  -- 40% higher on average.
I'll be publishing the experimental procedure and results in ABJ.
