Varroa mite genotypes and mechanisms of resistance of bees to mites:

Do different genotypes of Varroa destructor differ in virulence, 
reproduction, impact on European bees and do these possible differences 
persist consistently?
Are there common mechanisms of resistance to mites in all naturally 
selected surviving bees?
