There are already three DIY approved methods of application on the
existing label for OA.
I've already submitted a similar one to USDA, specifying the max allowable
dosage, the carrier, the application, and limit of applications.
I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be doable, especially with the
tolerance exemption. It's not as though beekeepers are going to over apply
to any extent , due to the low margin of safety as far as the honey bee
colony. Similar to formic acid, too strong an application results in brood
kill and the agitation and bearding of the workers. So beekeepers that
can't read will soon learn to self-limit.
