Has anybody thought about using an ozone generator. If the boxes and frames are stored in an enclosed space you could use one of these.
Some beekeepers use them to kill wax moth in storage sheds.
Cost about $80 from AliExpress China . Used to deodorise rooms.
Just make sure the area is fully aired after use as ozone can be dangerous in high concentrations. I could still taste it four days later when used in my garage. Has a metallic taste similar to when it went through a radiation plant in Australia.
All spiders and insects were dead so should kill these beetles.
