It is not just honey bees that don’t like fuzzy black socks.
One time when I was cleaning fish at my fish cleaning stand,
I did not notice the wasp nest under the stand.
I was wearing just shorts, no shirt. I had shoes and
black fuzzy socks. About 10 or 12 wasps started stinging me through the socks.
