Deborah and others have raised some excellent points regarding synthetic comb. As local associations train and mentor new beekeepers the importance of maintaining honey and wax as ‘pure and natural’ products of the hive needs to stressed. Local beekeeping clubs and associations might also be well served to have a group discussion among their membership touching on the thought provoking points raised on this list.
