For English speakers herbicides are one of several sub sets of pesticides.

The OP expressed concern if he could trust the manufacturer to accurately disclose the ingredients in the product.  I can not imagine any manufacturer of pesticides not accurately disclosing the active ingredient in terms of chemical name and amount.  Now, it is entirely possible the company you used to work for would not do this.  That might explain their truly pathetic  performance as a company the last ten or fifteen years.
