What I have wondered since varroa arrived in the ‘90s, is the fact that the male mite mates with his sisters. Does this not present a window for genetic researchers to alter varroa’s success?

Has any work been done on methods to reduce brood development time, and thus lower varroa success?

Is it true that AHB in Puerto Rico are less aggressive than elsewhere, why?
