This came from notes I took at EAS 2015.
I just went back through the videos I took at the conference but couldn’t find the Friday sessions. Holiday mode so never transferred it to a hard drive perhaps.
Medhat’s recondition is for 2 X 40ml pads for a colony when temperatures are above 14C at night (15 during the day in the spring ). Three treatments, a week apart.
1 pad for five frames of bees.
I used the temperature reduced method for 5 weeks with good results. More trips to the apiary but it worked for me.
All beekeeping is local so see what works for you. Start with Medhat’s recommendations before playing around.
Loved Randy’s presentation on NY Bee Wellness. Answered my questions regarding re-invasion.
