so much greater in certain colonies than in others on either side. <><><>HYPOTHESIS:  Might it be that the hive that gains the influx of mites is more accepting of outside incoming bees which might bee abandoning their own colony because of mite loads than the hives not experiencing the influx of increased mite loads (ie. weaker hives)?
