Yes, I guess they are around in winter, hibernation for shrews would be very
difficult with their challenge of high metabolism? 

I have seen signs like that here in SE Pa and blamed it on mice. 

 

As far as sticky board evidence, it would be helpful to be able to
distinguish mouse feces from shrew.
