There is a renewed interest in DWV and colony collapse.  I've been in deep
discussion with several of the authors mentioned in this thread over the
past several days.  There remain many unanswered questions--some things
don't yet make complete sense.  There are some ideas that I'm not at
liberty to mention, but I hope that we get a better picture of what's
happening over the next few years.

Meanwhile, keep varroa counts low, and breed for mite-resistant bees.
