Pretty good bet that's because it is not a burning question (oof). As you and I discussed, a real study would involve treatment AND control hives, would measure square inches of brood at intervals, would incorporate a dead bee trap*, would track survival rate. In the end, if survival is enhanced by OA treatment, some side effects would therefore be acceptable.
