Peter - Thank you for mentioning Roubik in this discussion concerning impacts of "invasive" bees. His research of many many years has shown something very counter-intuitive that people perhaps seem to, or want to miss. To reiterate your earlier post, if anything, the so called "invasive" species of his work actually benefited the "natives" by adding a measurable increase in flora proliferation and plant production thereby increasing the diversity of the overall eco-system. It was a good thing... I'm always surprised this important work gets missed when ever we begin talking about how dangerous our non-native bees "might be" to eco-systems already under stress from other causes.
