The pressurized warm plume of microcrystals enters the hive, and depending
upon how well the entrance is sealed, displaces air already in the hive out
of any cracks. The cloud out crystals can then be seen exiting so long as
pressure is exerted at the entrance. All the while, some crystals will
settle or be electrostatically attracted onto the surfaces of the combs or
exposed bees at the mantle of the cluster.
The question then is how much of the OA actually makes it to the bees in
the center of the cluster.
