Many small guys extract 2 or 4 frames in hand crank or electric extractors.
Then there's the 10 frame like my Maxant so 10 frames from box go in.
Yes frames are tight
but I've noticed in many that some colonies lock things up with lots of
propolis and wax, yet
many keep things clean so to speak and removal is easy. Depends also on use
of self spacing or non
spaced style frames.
It's all about balance in the end. If not properly bolted down which mine
is
the thing begins to walk.
The big guys run multiple larger extractors or extraction lines. Even
there, more frames
go in but balance is important.
I see the European extractors on the market run 9 frames.
