*you can move the hive in up to 10 foot increments with 2-3 hour pauses
since the disoriented bees will fly to the nearest hive which will be the
hive that is moved. Since there are no hives along the route- they are all
at the final destination- it appears it might work and could be done in a
day or two. The total distance is about 30 feet. I intend to put the hive
on a cart and move the cart to the new location in three or four moves.*
Isn't this an example of beekeepers making things over-complicated ? Why
not just move them 30 feet in one go . Surely all that's going to happen
is that you will have some disoriented bees flying around before finding
the nearest hive - which is where you want them to go.
