Peter, Randy’s suggestion to use an ‘accelerant’ is great. I use Oxalic Acid Vaporization
and a white board. Mine aren’t sticky; OAV kills them dead. Makes a 24 hour drop readily visible. If there is a phoretic mite, it will be on the board. Great for monitoring;
it gives a ‘snapshot’. Safety gear required but I think it’s worth it.
