Have an hour to spare? This video on Bee genetics, details breeding for 
traits to the benefit and the determent of the honey bee. It also goes 
on a bit in detail into the recent discussion here on Bee-L about 
subspecies which some might find interesting and then ends with a 
discussion on regional breeding, outbreeding depression and why moving 
(importing/exporting) bees from one region to another is to the 
detriment of  the honey bees adaptive traits to a specific region.

it's a very well done presentation/lecture..a bit dry to start but gets 
going around the 41 minute mark to bring it all together. Don't let the 
title fool you.
