I have seen commercial queens live a year or more. Generally not much longer than that.
While it’s a good conversation, this is a biased comment. You need to buy elsewhere. Never had problem at all with early failures, And well aware of many of us on a large scale using commercial queens for several seasons. Including 2 of the bigger breeders I know run 2 year old stock as a rule. Not an exception.
