With a couple of caveats, yes. After 4 years working on our bee farm and
being stung near daily one of our employees developed serious allergic
reactions to stings.
The caveats...only a couple of times was the response of a full
anaphylactic nature requiring a hospital visit. Seven years later and
still working with bees and undergoing desensitizing treatment with an
allergist, bee stings and venom treatments still cause her a serious
response, nausea, hives, etc. lasting 24 to 36 hours.
Other caveat...in our climate beekeeping and being stung lasts about 7
months a year.
