As I keep telling everyone - Beekeeping is local. In the Yukon where most of our summer never gets much above 20C our locally adapted plants do fine. A Yukon fireweed may look like one in southern BC but is has been locally adapted to my climate (soil conditions, moisture, altitude and temperature).
The bees do well in my climate (they produce 30-100lbs per hive in native boreal forest settings and up to 200lbs/hive in old forest fires burn areas
