> Do some people like basswood honey?
> Someone once shared a German honey with me that came from a conifer. That was weird.
Hi all
I have a crate filled with honeys from all over the world. I seldom find one that I don't like. I have been fond of basswood since I first tasted it right out of a hive in 1974 in Wayne County, NY. I was introduced to buckwheat honey some time as a kid, at Wixon's honey stand in Dundee, NY.
I ordered a bunch of "forest honey" to taste test last summer, for an article I was writing for the ABJ. I love pungent ones like heather, chestnut, buckwheat, and honeydew honey. The sage honey from Calif is bland, to me, but it's still honey. Honey is magic!
