Hi all
I don't know about oilseed rape honey, but Frank Pellet wrote in his 1920 book "American Honey Plants" (another great bee book from the past):
The honey from alfalfa varies in color and quality in different localities.
In Colorado and Idaho it is of very light color and with a spicy, mild
flavor of excellent quality. In the Imperial Valley of California it is much
darker in color and of poorer quality.
[I have had Imperial Valley honey and I liked it. The honey is produced during very hot weather. Days over 110F and nights in the 90s]
