This one is important, especially in a large apiary. Over 45 years, I've had two bad incidents with students who got one bee under their veil and ripped it off in the middle of the yard, then jumped around and ran.
1. Never take your veil off for just one bee
b) Turn towards the sun and calmly walk away. The bee will most likely fly against the screen trying to get out toward the sun. Then you can either pinch off the bee through the veil or remove an let her fly away.
c) Never spit while wearing a bee (Jocks seem more prone than most to do this)
