One must also look at location.....
BIP says in 2017 TF in TX the 50 hive and under keeper lost 18.6%
in ME it was 80%
Its not surprising that a TX TF beekeeper dosn't under why people have so much trouble and a ME one can't see how it could possibility succeed.
Spot on with the IPM problem...The TF see it as a TX and the TX keepers see it as useless sugar dusting...Cems may be the last stage if needed, but the processes up to that point are useful for both camps.... and if cems are needed, they are needed, no amount of well wishing will save the hive, treat and save your investment
It seems many of the public figures in TF have only a few hives and are now just motivational speakers with little substance. The only speakers who have information and are teaching anything seem to be the TX ones working towards resistance, people like Randy Oliver, Meghan Milbrath, Mike Palmer.
