>>>   Neither have seemed superior to two. <><><>  Personally I like using three (3) Illinois (medium) supers for wintering over.  (1/2 way between Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama).  Using all Illinois supers allows switching boxes as needed and the size gives me relief from hefting deep brood boxes with this old back and weaker muscles.
