A key point here is not just the amount of time, but the amount of *isolated
*time. We have had hundreds of years of honey bees in the US, but we have
consistently been moving them around in that time. Some areas that are
more remote, could indeed have some adaptations that are in response to
local stressors. The bulk of our bees, however, are constantly
intermingling - from commercial beekeepers moving them in and out and from
small-scale beekeepers importing packages and nucs.
