Well, it is not astrology but bees have been demonstrated to be able to detect the angle of polarized light in the sky and thus where the sun is on over cast days and presumably this does help them get home. Many birds have the same ability. Humans do not. It is not obvious to me how this would help them determine time to lay eggs.
Experiments on humans have shown they do have significant "homing" ability, even if they are in a location they do not know and do not know what route was taken to get them to that location. Most can orient within +/- 40 deg of home. The other group orients mainly dead wrong in that same kind of +/- window from directly wrong. I am sure I would be close to the latter group. I am always getting lost. In fact, I might not even be good enough to be in the opposite quadrant as often as I get lost. Boston is a total nightmare for me even with a decent map in part because the map is wrong too often and shows a nice continuous road when I am sitting there looking at a dead end into a solid brick wall about ten feet tall.
