Neither does Norm Gary. There is no evidence of negative effects of keeping bees in urban areas, just a potential for reduced yields. But yield is not the main reason people keep bees in urban areas. They keep them to stay in touch with the natural world, to help pollinate urban gardens, and to get a little honey to keep or pass around. Overstocking in rural areas is much more of a problem. Ask any commercial beekeeper.
