From the north honey bees are rented for low bush blueberry as well as high bush blueberry. Check in Main , Nova Scotia , and New Brunswick where thousands of hives are rented for blueberry pollination. The honey bees might not the ideal pollinator for blue berry but the share number of bees per colony will compensate for the pollination efficiency. Bumble bees are suited to do the buzz pollination for blueberry but not enough of them to do the job.
For high bush blue berry many colonies are rented for pollination in Michigan, New Jersey, British Colombia and other states.
