Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I might find out how to go about testing the presence and concentration of OA in my final honey? I know Randy is working with his local authorities on these tests now. Is it practical for me to set up and conduct this test in my "home" lab to monitor the levels myself while I use OA in my hives or is it something I would have to send out to be tested?
I read over this article on Randy's site:
http://scientificbeekeeping.com/oxalic-acid-questions-answers-and-more-questions-part-1-of-2-parts/
...and I'm continuing to search and read. It seems this has to have been discussed somewhere already.
I'm guessing that we look for amounts in ppm. What is considered a safe amount? Thanks for any insight.
