Apologies, I meant a Langstroth deep--the most common hive size used in the
U.S.
Lanstroth deep (10 frames) 6800 sq cm

I see that in many European countries, beekeepers winter their colonies in
a single box which contains more comb space than the single Langstroth deep
commonly used in North America.
