This is a good indication of apiary success and management philosophy. From a business point of view probably the most important. I also have planed consolidation of mating nucs and believe in taking winter loss of dinks in the fall so the numbers I use for winter loss are the number I take into winter that I hope will survive. I think both are valid and useful so maybe we should report both.
