One could suggest bugging one’s Congress person or senator, but unfortunately for those of us residing in the blue states, that’s pointless as they just nod in agreement. Until the representatives from the red western states, that are much more affected by what’s happening in agriculture and farming in general (and the cuts in federal agencies they depend on), start raising a hissy fit, there’ll be no pressure to change anything.
Until the poll data starts reflecting a change in popular opinion, we’ve got to deal with what we got. 140 characters at a time.
