"Has anyone done a store on whether bees wax absorbs lacquer thinner when the fumes come into contact with the wax?"
Lacquer thinner is mainly or entirely acetone. Your body makes small amounts of acetone every day as part of its normal amino acid metabolism. Acetone is also highly volatile having a boiling point of only 133 deg F. It is a rather poor bees wax solvent. So, a small amount of it would likely absorb into bees wax during treatments to kill the hive but also would rapidly evaporate from the wax after treatment was done and in small amounts is of no toxicological consequence to the consumer.
