I find the lack of such positive controls in research to be frustrating.
Bees are exposed to a plethora of plant toxins, miticides, pesticides, and
other environmental toxins. When researchers single out one for testing,
without using common positive controls for reference, we have no idea as to
how to put their results into perspective.
